The simple answer to this question is that if your buying an aftermarket fairing kit and its been injection molded then the fit will be within a 98% accurate fit provided your bike has not been in an accident and the frame and mounts are all still in an undamaged condition. So why are there so many complaints about aftermarket fairing kits on ebay and other places?
In many cases when fairings are bought and sold online their is often no backup from a solid reputable dealer or store. These types of business often are not concerned about returns or the quality of the product they sell because they know most customers wont complain because it quickly become to hard to deal with over emails. The business instead rely's on large volumes of sales by appealing to the market on price alone but more often than not with no real quality involved.
At Simons Superbikes we have found that there is a big difference in the build quality of aftermarket fairings. This year we have ceased trading with some of our suppliers because we felt the build quality was not up to a level that was good enough for the Australian or european market. We only wish to sell the best available products to our clients because as motorbike riders and racers we know the frustration involved with bad quality products.

Why are fairing kits so cheap on ebay and other online websites?
Aftermarket fairing kits often appear to be cheap when compared to 'OEM' factory genuine fairing kits because they are, until you look a little further.
So what's the catch?
Well the price is very cheap because the freight has not been shown until you place or complete an order. This is very misleading and usually comes as a shock when the order is placed and the shipping costs are added. More often than not the shipping cost is well over $200 australian dollars. Now that's got to hurt right?
What's different about Simons Superbikes?
At Simons Superbikes advertising a big product like a fairing kit without the cost of shipping is not an acceptable practice and so we don't do it. We feel its misleading and dishonest when the postage is well into the hundreds of dollars when the product itself is also often well in the hundreds of dollars.
So at Simons Superbikes we always include the postage in the price for all out major aftermarket faring kits.
